You either use your skills properly and hit them hard and the instadie, regardless of your leather crit chance or not. Against mages, I really don't think leather is going to change anything. It obviously improves your archer and melee matchups over leather. I think plate suits darkrunner much better than leather. Combined with stealth and your mobility there really is no excuse for getting instagibbed unless you are hopelessly outnumbered.

You should also be easily interrupting any big casts like arc lightning. You have frenzy and conversion shield at your disposal, giving massive magic damage reduction. If you are getting 1-shot as a darkrunner it's your own fault tbh. others would argue that you can still hit 8ks in plate, and that 14-15k isnt needed since it's pretty much overkill.Īs to dual weild - you would want to take sword+katana, each weapon has a hidden passive and the swords passive is really REALLY useful for duels, since it increases the chance to parry to 100% Leather over all is much higher dps, while plate gives you survivability. Like in KR you would take plate if there are more archer than melees/mages. Once you land a reliable stun or your backflip is off of cool down, use back flip - weaponswap midair to 2h - then charge/sunder earth + whirlwind for big combos, there are many other combos that can be done like this also, like waiting to back stab and warrior back slash, equip 2h first. I use sword+shield since the main hand dps is enough to wear them down while the shield makes it so you dont get deleted.
